SAP FICO Consultant | Contract

Job Scope: 

We are seeking an experienced SAP FICO Consultant to support SAP Finance and Accounting operations, enhancements, and transformation initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with Finance stakeholders to analyze business requirements, optimize financial processes, and support SAP S/4HANA Finance solutions. The role requires functional expertise in SAP Finance modules, hands-on configuration experience, and the ability to support month-end and year-end financial closing activities in a complex enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with Finance and Accounting stakeholders to gather business requirements and recommend SAP Finance solutions.
• Support and enhance SAP S/4HANA and/or SAP ECC Finance processes across GL, AP, AR, AA, and Banking.
• Perform SAP Finance configuration and support activities, including organizational structures, account determination, master data, and financial reporting requirements.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and financial reporting.
• Analyze and resolve operational issues, system defects, and process gaps affecting Finance users.
• Support integration between SAP FI and related modules such as Controlling (CO), Materials Management (MM), and Sales & Distribution (SD).
• Collaborate with technical teams to troubleshoot custom developments, conduct root cause analysis, and validate enhancements.
• Support SAP S/4HANA migration, system upgrades, testing, and deployment activities where required.
• Prepare functional specifications, process documentation, SOPs, and training materials.
• Ensure adherence to accounting policies, audit requirements, and internal controls.

Job Qualifications: 

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of SAP FICO consulting or SAP Finance support experience.
• Proven hands-on experience in SAP FI modules, including: General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), Banking and Bank Reconciliation.
• Experience supporting month-end and year-end financial close processes.
• Hands-on SAP configuration experience within SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA Finance.
• Excellent understanding of Finance business processes, financial controls, and reconciliation activities.
• Experience working with Finance stakeholders across multiple business functions.
• Ability to troubleshoot custom SAP Finance solutions and coordinate with ABAP developers.
• Good communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.

Good to Have Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA implementation, migration, or transformation projects.
• Experience integrating SAP FI with CO, MM, and SD modules.
• Knowledge of revenue recognition, statutory reporting, and financial compliance requirements.
• Familiarity with regional finance operations within Singapore and/or APAC environments.
• Experience supporting audit requirements and financial reporting processes.
• SAP certification in SAP FICO or SAP S/4HANA Finance is advantageous.
